FAQ
The tear fluid in the eyes consists of a special composition, which makes it safe for the surface of the eye. As the eyes can clean themselves, it is not advisable for a person to regularly wash their eyes, as this can irritate them and possibly lead to eye infections.
What does eye wash do? An eye wash works on many levels simultaneously to alleviate discomfort. It acts as a flush, flooding the eye and removing unwanted particles. At the same time, it lubricates the eye to soothe irritation and deliver relief – helping to refresh and rehydrate it.
The eyewash should be turned on to full strength. Allow the water to run long enough to ensure the flowing water is clear and free of debris. After water is clear, continue to run the water at full strength for an additional 30-60 seconds. Deactivate the eyewash.
