The Makita M9201B is a 4-3/8-inch random orbit sander designed for sanding and polishing various materials including wood, metal, and plastic.
Random orbit sanders use a circular sanding motion combined with an oscillating motion to provide a more efficient sanding action and reduce the risk of swirl marks on the surface being sanded. Regular orbital sanders use only a circular sanding motion.
The Makita M9201B sander is powered by a 2.0-amp motor, providing a maximum speed of 4,000 to 12,000 OPM (orbits per minute) depending on the speed setting.
